Key West Inn Hotel Chain adds 20th Location and Forecasts Additional Units

June 16, 2008 // Franchising.com // Birmingham, AL, United States,- Key West Inns, a limited-service hotel chain, announced the addition of the 20th franchised location in Hogansville, Georgia. Along with several conversions in 2008, Key West Inns has also opened a new construction property in Hamilton, Alabama.

The parent company of Key West Inns is the award winning hotel management company, Jackson Hospitality Services. "With Key West Inns, you get the marketing arm of Jackson Hospitality Services", states Key West Inn President, Neal Jackson. "JHS has over 30 years of hotel experience and the KWI franchisees will have access to all that knowledge".

Over the years, the typical growth pattern of the Key West Inn chain has been from new development, however; it will be conversion properties that will help grow the chain in the coming years. The low entry fees and flexible PIP (property improvement plan), will allow an easy and affordable Key West Inn conversion. Neal Jackson further states, "When bringing in quality conversion hotels, our focus will be on finding new revenues for the hotel through enhanced marketing and revenue maximization programs. Once the new revenues are in place, we can work with the hotel owner to develop a capital improvement plan."

Along with the many benefits of the KWI program is the addition of Dana Murphree. In the position of Franchisee Success Coach, Murphree will visit each Key West Inn every 90 days and will focus on: revenue management, capital improvement, marketing strategies. Site visits are less about inspections, but more about ensuring that the property has every resource they need to sell additional rooms and satisfy the customer.

Additional program benefits are: a national reservation system providing seamless GDS connectivity, website promotion, free annual convention, license agreement with annual windows, and a competitive fee structure.

Key West Inns have built their brand with new and conversion hotels that offer unique architecture and high curb appeal, along with exclusive, themed interiors that create interest and excitement in smaller communities. Standards for quality of rooms, breakfast set up, décor and exterior appearance ensure the quality of the chain. Key West Inns currently has 20 properties across Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.
