Boston Pizza opens third location in Markham at Woodbine & Major Mackenzie

Restaurant opening creates 100 new jobs

June 23, 2008 // Franchising.com // Markham, Ont, - Boston Pizza International Inc. announces the grand opening of its third restaurant and sports bar in Markham, Ontario on Monday, June 23, 2008. The new restaurant, located at 2910 Major Mackenzie Drive East at Woodbine, will create 100 jobs in the local community.

Boston Pizza at Woodbine and Major Mackenzie will be owned and operated by Richmond Hill resident Dino Giuliano, along with partners Matteo Giuliano, Lorenzo D'Alessandro, John D'Alessandro and Frank D'Alessandro. Dino Giuliano brings 25 years of restaurant industry experience to the new Markham location.

"The people of Markham have been very supportive of Boston Pizza and we are excited to bring another location to the area," says franchisee Dino Giuliano. "Our dining room and sports bar concept is great for families, friends and sports teams to gather and enjoy good food - and our patio is the perfect spot to relax with drinks all summer long!"

With more than 100 menu items, there's something for everyone at Boston Pizza. Guests can choose from 23 different varieties of gourmet pizza, plus pasta, appetizers, ribs, entrées, salads and desserts. Boston Pizza's Delicious Alternatives menu offers six Health CheckTM items that are lower in fat, sodium and carbohydrate content, and the Kids Menu offers delicious, healthy options for kids.

As part of its commitment to the local community, the staff of Boston Pizza Woodbine and Major Mackenzie will present a cheque to The Centre for Dreams from tips generated through six dress rehearsals at the grand opening party on Friday, June 20. The Centre for Dreams has provided educational services and vocational training to intellectually challenged adults in Markham for more than 16 years.
