June 25, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Atlanta-based Budgetel Franchise System has named respected hotel industry veteran Teri Fox to the newly-created position of vice president for franchise operations, effective June 23.

Ms. Fox, who has more than 24 years of combined hotel management and franchise experience, will oversee the operations of all franchised Budgetel properties. She will report to Randy Evanchyk, executive vice president for franchise development.

Since 1995, Ms. Fox has held a series of executive positions with U.S. Franchise Systems, most recently as senior vice president of operations for Microtel Inns & Suites. She also had five years of experience with Cendant Corporation, now the Wyndham Hotel Group.

"Since coming under new ownership last year, the Budgetel brand has been building steadily, both in the number of properties and in the quality of our franchise-friendly programs," explained Mr. Evanchyk.

"Terri's addition to our executive team will significantly enhance our field operations .It's an aggressive reminder that we are completely committed to giving Budgetel franchisees the resources they need in order to properly and profitability serve the traveling public."

The Budgetel brand, first introduced in 1974, was revitalized last year under new ownership as a unique upper economy, limited-service option that gives franchisees unprecedented control of their profitability.
