Wingstop Wins Stevie Awards For Best Overall Company And Best Tv Ad In 6th Annual American Business Awards(SM)

June 24, 2008 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – Wingstop won two Stevie Awards for Best Overall Company, companies with more than 2500 employees category, and Best TV or Cinema Ad Campaign in The 2008 American Business Awards last night.

The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Wingstop was one of six companies that won multiple Stevie Awards, the other five included Harrah's Entertainment, JohnHancock, Lifelock, Omniture, and The Marketing Arm.

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. "Each year the competition is more fierce," said Andy Howard, executive vice president of marketing, purchasing and R&D for Wingstop. "We are very honored to receive these prestigious awards and want to thank our brand partners, employees, and customers."

The winning Wingstop TV Ad Campaign, "Wing Fanatics", was produced by El Creative Design and Advertising of Dallas and directed by Stone Core Films.

In winning the Stevie for Best Overall Company, Wingstop beat out other finalists including Kronos Incorported and McAfee. In winning the Best TV Ad Campaign award, Wingstop nudged out such finalists as Accuray, LifeLock and West Bend Mutual Insurance Company Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
