If You're Happy and You Know It, You Probably Work for MaidPro

June 26, 2008 // Franchising.com // - If you're visiting Canal Street and you smell freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, hear engaged employees discussing franchise owners' successes and see bubbles on the wall, chances are you're visiting the home office of MaidPro Franchising.

The Boston-based franchisor of housecleaning services, newly ensconced in office space in an old furniture factory, was recently named to the Boston Business Journal's list of Best Places to Work, landing in ninth place among businesses with 20 to 100 local employees.

"It's been an exciting year for MaidPro," said Richard Sparacio, President and Co-Founder. "We've doubled our workspace, added three new employees and are poised to open our 100th franchise. The BBJ's award is a nice validation that our employees are happy with our growth and culture."

The Best Places to Work list is determined by analysis of surveys of employees at each company. The surveys asked employees a series of questions about work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management compensation and benefits. This year's top ranking firms were chosen from 392 nominations, making it the largest program in the event's four year history. 2008 marks MaidPro's second year of eligibility for the awards; last year, it ranked 16th in its first year of eligibility.

MaidPro is a Boston-based franchisor of housecleaning services with more than 100 offices in 28 states plus the District of Columbia. The company, franchising since 1997, takes pride in its strong owner community, cutting-edge technology and creative marketing. It has been honored with the Franchise Business Review's Four-Star Rating and Franchise 50 awards in 2006, 2007 and 2008 for owner satisfaction. MaidPro is a proud member of the International Franchise Association and the New England Franchise Association. The company can be found online at www.maidpro.com.
