Canadian Franchise Association Welcomes New Board Members

July 08, 2008 // Franchising.com // - (Toronto, ON) - The Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) announced the appointment of Stéphane Breault as the new CFA Board of Directors Chair and the election of eight new members to its Board of Directors at its Annual General Meeting held on May 5, 2008.

Stéphane Breault, President, Van Houtte Cafés most recently served as CFA's First Vice-Chair. As an award-winning leader in the franchise industry, Mr. Breault brings significant experience and expertise in market development, marketing and management.

The Association also elected Graham Cooke, Vice President of Franchise Development Facilities Group, A&W Food Services of Canada as First Vice-Chair and Ash Vasdani, National Director of Franchising, McDonald's Restaurants Canada as Second Vice-Chair. Rick Chittley-Young, Partner, BDO Dunwoody LLP was elected Treasurer and Joseph Adler, Partner, Hoffer Adler LLP was elected Legal and Legislative Committee Chair.

New members of the CFA Board of Directors include:

  • Ken LeBlanc, President and CEO, PropertyGuys.com

  • Rob Anderson, President, PostNet Canada

  • David Massie, Director of Franchise Sales, Centum Financial Group
