"Much of the summer season is about family and fun," said Liam Crowe, CEO and master dog behavioral therapist at Bark Busters USA. "What better way to celebrate than with a photo competition that will benefit not only the participants, but also a worthy charity dedicated to helping our four-legged friends. After all, our dogs are part of the family and should share in the festivities."
Bark Busters, the world leader in natural home dog training, kicked off its Dog Days of Summer photo competition in early July and will accept entries at the Dog Days of Summer photo competition through September 1, 2008. Entries include a digital image and a brief description. Five finalists will be determined by a panel of judges on September 2 and posted on BarkBusters.com from September 3 through September 22. During this time, the public can vote on their favorite entry. Winners will be announced and posted online on September 23. The participant whose entry receives the highest number of public votes will receive a $100 Bark Busters gift bag and $500 donation in his or her name to SPCA International or another animal-related charity of his or her choice. Second and third place winners will also receive Bark Busters gift bags.
"We're looking for the most clever, most entertaining submissions, and with the real-time vote tally available online for all to see, we anticipate a spirited competition," added Crowe. "This is all part of mission to enhance the human-canine bond and support charities that help to prevent the maltreatment and euthanasia of companion animals."
