Sandella's Flatbread Expands in Texas

July 17, 2008 // // - West Redding, CT — Sandella's Flatbread, the largest and fastest growing flatbread concept in the world recently closed a multi-unit franchising deal with Gourmet Ventures bringing five new restaurants to Houston. The franchisee's expected to open their first restaurant by the end of the year in the Houston Medical Center.

"Houston has a diversified restaurant scene with all types of cuisines," says a Gourmet Ventures representative. "Sandella's is going to fit right in due to its health conscious and delicious menu. Customers are going to love it."

Sandella's incorporates the hottest trends in the fast casual segment, offering consumers fresh, hot and healthy menu items such as grilled paninis, sandwiches, grilled flatbreads and quesadillas—all made with their own delicious flatbread which is kosher and fat free. Already ahead of its time, Sandella's is trans-fat free and listed in the Weight Watchers Points Guide.

This is Sandella's first venture into Houston- although there are over 15 restaurants in development throughout the state in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. The company has 125+ locations open throughout the United States. Restaurants average 1,000-1,500 square feet and seat 30 to 40 guests.
