Coldwell Banker Commercial(R) Network Announces Launch of Cell Phone Recycling Initiative Through Strategic Alliance with CelluFund

Proceeds From Eco-Friendly Cell Phone Resale Initiative Supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization

July 18, 2008 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Coldwell Banker Commercial Affiliates (CBC), one of the largest commercial real estate brokerage franchise systems, has announced the launch of a new nationwide environmentally responsible and philanthropic initiative through a strategic alliance with CelluFund, a leading recycler of cell phones. The money raised from the sale of these phones will in turn be donated directly to the national chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the charitable organization supported by the Coldwell Banker Commercial brand.

As part of this initiative, CBC is encouraging both corporate staff members and affiliate offices nationwide to send used cell phones to the Company's corporate headquarters in Parsippany N.J. All phones collected will be forwarded to CelluFund, an organization that gathers such phones for recycling and resale. Those phones that are deemed obsolete will be properly recycled, while those that can be refurbished will be "purchased back" from CBC for a reimbursement fee of up to $50 per phone.
