July 23, 2008 // Franchising.com // MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Weichert, Realtors®, one of the nation's largest privately held real estate companies, announced that students enrolling in the Weichert Real Estate School Brokers Course will now have the option to receive concurrent credit towards becoming an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR). The Weichert Real Estate School is the only real estate school to offer this opportunity.
ABR is a nationally recognized professional designation granted by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC), a subsidiary of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Additionally, students taking the 30 hour 'Agency & Ethics' module, the second of three education courses required for a broker's license, will receive credit for the ABR core course requirement. Real estate professionals interested in solely obtaining the ABR designation may take the 'Agency & Ethics' module independent of the broker course.
"At Weichert, we are committed to offering the best in real estate education," said Lou Cecconi, director of the Weichert Real Estate School in New Jersey. "Incorporating the ABR educational requirements into our school's broker course curriculum gives students an excellent opportunity that they can't get anywhere else."
