KidzArt Continues International Expansion to Offer its Multi-Media Art Education Franchise in Singapore and Beyond

Franchise Organization's Plans Include Further International Growth

July 24, 2008 // Franchising.com // (New Braunfels, TX)- KidzArt, the first international children's art education franchise company, today announced further global expansion with the opening of an area developer in Singapore. Ms. Gayatri Golpadas has purchased exclusive rights to open multiple KidzArt locations throughout the country.

"After searching for the appropriate children's art program to open in Singapore, I finally found KidzArt," said Gayatri Golpadas. "KidzArt focuses on the whole child not just on their drawing skills. I felt that KidzArt would meet the needs of Singapore parents who are looking for enrichment classes for their children- and this program does it in an educational and fun way."

Golpadas and her husband currently run Identity Counsel, a brand consulting and design business in Singapore that works with clients such as eBay, Dell, Sara Lee and Singapore Post. She holds an MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and a BA in design from the American College in London.

Local Singaporeans will be offered KidzArt through the local school system and community centers, while expatriates can find KidzArt classes through international schools, condominiums and social clubs. Golpadas' goal is to have 1,000 students enrolled within 18 months.

An art education program that provides drawing-based, multi-media visual arts instruction for kids from preschoolers to teens, KidzArt offers a constructive, creative outlet that encourages self-expression and communication. The organization's after-school and summer camp classes provide children with a guided foundation for drawing, but also encourage brainstorming and creative thinking.

"With several candidates vying for the franchise in Singapore, Golpadas won over the KidzArt team with her personality, background and detailed understanding of her market: what parents and kids are looking for in a quality art program. Her professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm captivated the team," says Shell Herman, KidzArt CEO. "We are confident that Gayatri will bring these qualities to her Singapore market and will excel in representing KidzArt throughout the region. Clearly, she is dedicated to KidzArt in the ways that are important to us as a company."

Making its curriculum attractive to other countries and cultures around the world, KidzArt is poised to leverage new partnerships worldwide to continue its strong growth. The company's current international partners include China and Qatar as well as Singapore. Agreements have been signed with the UAE and India, while South Korea and Portugal are expected to join this year and early 2009.
