The facility is completely climate controlled and the cabins even come complete with a comfortable cozy fleece-lined cot in a climate-controlled environment. Another unique quality of the camp is that there are Certified Camp Counselors® who are required to monitor the pooches all day and adhere to the strict camper to counselor ratio for the safety of dogs. The counselors are trained in dog behavior, safety and health management. They are also CPR and First aid trained. There are a few requirements to be a camper and it all starts with the free interview day. The interview is a meet and greet with dogs of similar size and temperament and both Gary and Jill advise owners to leave their pooches for the full day.

"Basically, it's a free day of camp and we get to know our future guests on a first name basis," said Gary.
