$50,000 Will Be Awarded to Both Sweepstakes Winners and Scholarship Fund

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2008--Burger King Corp. (NYSE:BKC) announces a partnership with Visa(R) that will benefit HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation in support of education and give 50 Visa(R) and BURGER KING(R) customers a chance to take home a $1,000 Visa(R) gift card.

Today through Oct. 5, 2008, BURGER KING(R) customers who use their Visa(R) card for purchases at approximately 7,200 participating BURGER KING(R) restaurants in the U.S. are automatically entered for a chance to win a $1,000 from Visa(R) gift card.(1) For each winner, Visa(R) will also donate $1,000 to HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation's BURGER KING(R) Scholars program.

In total, 50 winners will each receive a $1,000 Visa(R) gift card and Visa(R) will also donate $50,000 to the BURGER KING(R) Scholars Program, which is HAVE IT YOUR WAY(R) Foundation's educational cornerstone. The Foundation provides scholarships to commendable high school seniors across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, and expands the positive impact Burger King Corp. has on local communities.
