CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. is Top Fundraiser for Okanagan 24 Hour Relay

August 08, 2008 // Franchising.com // - Vancouver, BC - For the third year in a row, CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. took top spot at the Okanagan Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay and was named the charity event's top fundraising team.

The CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. CENTURION relay team was able to top their fundraising figure from last year and raised an astounding $20,073.00.

The June 7 and 8 event raised $170,000.00 for the BC Lions Society's Easter Seal Camp Winfield, and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs. More than 800 runners and walkers circled the Apple Bowl Stadium and the Parkinson Rec Fields in the relay for 24 hours straight.

"It is so exciting to see this money go towards changing the lives of kids who live right here in our community", says Grant Wiebe, owner of CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd., "Easter Seals operates a summer camp for kids located just outside of Kelowna and we get the chance to see the impact of our efforts first-hand." The fundraising initiatives of CENTURY 21 Assurance Realty Ltd. include an annual charity dinner and participation in the annual Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay.
