Gulf Shores Sweet Peppers Deli Opens & Gives Back

COLUMBUS, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The newest franchise for Sweet Peppers Deli opened its doors on Highway 59 South in Gulf Shores, AL the morning of August the 11th at 11 AM. The restaurant opened in the newly developed Magnolia Plaza between the Tanger Factory Outlet Center and the Colonial Pinnacle at Craft Farms Center. This is just the first development for Ryan and Eddy Bell of Bell Development, LLC who plan to open other locations in Baldwin County, Alabama and Okaloosa County, Florida in the near future. Sweet Peppers Deli offers a menu of salads, soups, signature sandwiches, panini (Italian pressed sandwiches), wraps and scrumptious desserts in a unique atmosphere including neon signs, glass garage doors, 50" plasma screen TVs, free WiFi and outdoor patio seating.

On the evening of August 10th, an invitation-only opening party was held at Sweet Peppers Deli to benefit the Youth Reach Gulf Coast. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Youth Reach. "We are thrilled to give back to this local charity. We have moved our home and family here to Gulf Shores and are happy to make a donation to a charity that changes the lives of so many troubled teens and their families," stated Hillary Bell, one of the franchise owners of Sweet Peppers Deli.

Youth-Reach Gulf Coast has acquired 81 acres of land East of Summerdale. Thanks to the support of local churches, businesses and individuals, a main office and four homes have been built. Soon construction will begin on other areas: Classrooms/Cafeteria, Laundry Facility, Maintenance Building and a large Barn. School age boys will attend on-site school, and a wide range of work projects will be offered including caring for livestock and auto maintenance.

The Sweet Peppers Deli concept originated in 1997 in Columbus, MS. There are currently thirteen Sweet Peppers Deli restaurants that are located in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Before the end of 2008, locations are scheduled to open in Fort Mills, SC and Gulf Port, MS. For more information, please visit their website at www.sweetpeppersdeli.com.
