Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Bloomington at Mall of America Announces Completion of Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 19 // PRNewswire // -- The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Bloomington at Mall of America today announced the completion of a multi-million dollar expansion and renovation that began in March of 2008. Extending to all areas of the hotel, the renovation includes all guest rooms, the fitness room, breakfast room and lobby. The hotel has 234 rooms.

The construction for the renovation was managed by Kraus Anderson of Minneapolis and interior design was done by Carlson's corporate design team. The Country Inn & Suites Bloomington at Mall of America is owned by Carlson and managed by Carlson Hotels Worldwide Managed Hotels & Resorts.

All guest rooms were upgraded with granite counters in the bathrooms, new carpet, drapes and dark wood case goods. All rooms now feature a microwave and refrigerator, new work desk, 32-inch High Definition flat panel TV, multimedia connectivity panel and new bedding package. Suite rooms have added Logic DuraMech Sleep Line sofa sleepers in the sitting room, which have no bars under the bed and are extremely easy to use.

The fitness room was expanded and now features state-of-the-art Nautilus equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, a recumbent bike and a universal gym. Each piece of equipment will have its own attached TV. The breakfast room was expanded to include new upholstered seating and a fireplace, and the lobby was upgraded to include automatic doors.

Just steps from the world famous Mall of America and 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson Bloomington at Mall of America provides quick and convenient access to Bloomington area shopping, dining, entertainment and more. The hotel features a 728 square-foot meeting room with space for up to 50 people and available group rates, catering services and audio/visual rental.
