Neerejh Ramlakhan Believes ActionCOACH Will Help South Africa's Economy and Social Climate

Neerejh Ramlakhan believes that in order to win, one must first risk losing something

/24-7PressRelease/ - LAS VEGAS, NV, August 21, 2008 - Master Licensee Pieter Scoltz has named Neerejh Ramlakhan as an ActionCOACH in South Africa.

He will be operating from his home-based office in the city of Johannesburg. Ramlakhan has plans of building a business coaching firm in the near future.

Prior to becoming an ActionCOACH, Ramlakhan was the General Manager of a group life insurance company called Discovery Life Group Risk.

During his 17-month tenure, the division increased premium income from R280 million to R360 million, with the same headcount. Ramlakhan was instrumental in initiating this major system conversion to reduce operating costs.

"I also oversaw the rebuilding of our pricing and distribution teams from scratch. The division beat its new business budget for the first time in its six-year history," he said.

As Principal Consultant for Alexander Forbes Consultants and Actuaries, he completed the De Beers Pension Fund Conversion Project, with more than 90% members converting (compared to the target of 70%), while 10% below budget. As Branch Director for the same company, consulting revenue per month trebled during his eight-month tenure. As Senior Consultant, he was able to turn around two clients who were leaving Alexander Forbes and successfully obtained a landmark approval for surplus distribution for one of the funds.

"As Executive Consultant for Bluepeter Management Consulting, I helped sell and deliver over R10 million of strategy consulting work in the public and private sectors," he said. "During my two-year tenure as General Manager for m Cubed Capital Life, I learned the fine art of operations and people management. I also helped introduce a new system and developed two structured products to maintain business profitability."

Ramlakhan's skills range from defining the business case as well as implementing and executing it through effectively leveraging time, money and people.

"In addition, I am a qualified actuary so I bring deep analytical thinking, professionalism, integrity and calculated risk taking to my clients," he said.

Ramlakhan was impressed by ActionCOACH.

"ActionCOACH's concept makes perfect sense in South Africa, where we desperately need to develop our business leadership and management talent," he said.

Tired of corporate life and with a desire to follow his passion, he wants to make a huge difference within the business community in South Africa.

"The success of small business in the country will result in reduced unemployment, crime and other social evils," he said. "If I can make a difference to keep a few more of these businesses surviving and growing, then I have contributed toward building a better life for all in my country."

Ramlakhan believes that in order to win, one must first risk losing something.

"The risk of failure and the vision of celebrating my inevitable success drive me forward. I am looking forward to a career, where I can balance my passion for business and my professional interests," he said.

He is actively involved within his local community in various charity initiatives.

"I think ActionCOACH is exactly what business in my country needs. Through business re-education, we will develop true empowerment and build a winning nation, which in turn will allow us to build on our inherited abundance of mineral and other natural resources," he said.
