Weichert Holds Special Seminar to Help First-Time Homebuyers Understand the $7,500 Tax Credit

Weichert offices to host local seminars company-wide on September 20

August 26, 2008 // Franchising.com // Morris Plains, N.J. - The recently passed Housing and Economic Recovery Act, including the $7,500 tax credit for first-time buyers, presents an excellent opportunity for those looking to make their dreams of homeownership a reality. Nonetheless, many first-time buyers might be unsure just exactly how the tax credit works. Weichert, Realtors® wants to help prospective first-time buyers understand the advantages of the $7,500 tax credit and capitalize on this financial incentive before it is no longer available.

On Saturday, September 20, Weichert, Realtors, along with its affiliate companies, Weichert Financial Services and Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., will host tax credit seminars for first-time homebuyers in each of its more than 500 company owned and franchised offices. The seminar is designed to educate first-time homebuyers on the specifics of the tax credit created by Congress and the other benefits of buying a home in the current market.

This free, no-obligation, special seminar, beginning at 11:00 a.m., will include a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session. An experienced tax professional will be on hand at each seminar to provide an overview of the $7,500 tax credit and to explain the tax benefits of owning a home. Weichert managers and sales associates will also review the current market and illustrate why now is a great time to buy. To reserve your seat at the tax credit seminar, call your local Weichert office.

"Our seminar is intended to shed light on the details of the tax credit for first-time homebuyers," said James M. Weichert, president and founder of Weichert, Realtors. "The current market already presents a tremendous opportunity for first-time buyers as interest rates remain historically low, home prices continue to be more affordable than in recent years and there are numerous homes to choose from. With the added incentive of a sizeable tax credit, it would be hard for me to resist if I was a first-time buyer."

Weichert has nearly 18,000 sales associates in more than 500 company-owned and franchised sales offices in key markets throughout the U.S. A family of full-service real estate and financial services companies, Weichert helps customers buy and sell both residential and commercial real estate, and streamlines the delivery of mortgages and home and title insurance. For more information, Weichert's customer service center can be reached at 1-800-USA-SOLD or at Weichert's Web site, www.weichert.com.
