Wendy's(R) Celebrates the American Workforce With Million Burger Giveaway on Labor Day at Select Florida Locations

400 Participating Wendy's restaurants from Orlando to Miami

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 26 // PRNewswire // -- This Labor Day, Wendy's restaurants from Central Florida through Miami will help customers take a bite out of the tough economy with a "Celebrating the American Workforce Giveaway" of coupons for over one million Double Stacks. Participating Wendy's will present the first 50 dine-in customers on Labor Day with a book of 52 coupons for free Double Stacks -- a year's supply of burgers. The promotion will begin at 11 a.m. on Labor Day, Sept. 1, 2008 at 400 participating Florida Wendy's in the 30 counties that make up the greater communities of Orlando, Daytona, Ocala, Melbourne, West Palm Beach, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Lakeland, Ft. Myers, and Naples.

Big on taste, the Double Stack features two fresh, never frozen, hot 'n juicy patties with cheese, onions and pickles.

Double Stack is now only 99 cents on Wendy's Super Value Menu, which offers a wide variety of premium quality choices including the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and Crispy Chicken Sandwich. "Returning the Double Stack to our Super Value Menu for 99 cents is our way of responding to the continuing economic situation and helping folks who are looking for ways to save money, yet not sacrifice quality for price," said Florida Division Vice President, Jose Ribas.
