HomeVestors Unveils Associate Franchise Program to Attract Part-Time Franchisees

August 28, 2008 // Franchising.com // Dallas -- HomeVestors(R) of America, Inc., the company famous for its "We Buy Ugly Houses"(R) billboards and America's #1 Home Buyer, has announced the HomeVestors Associate Franchise Program. Associate franchises will be awarded across the country to people interested in residential real estate investing on a smaller scale and a part-time basis.

"It's a fraction of the investment with the full benefit of joining a national brand," said Jason Killough, vice president of franchise development for HomeVestors. "With more than 230 full-time operators, HomeVestors franchisees have purchased more than 35,000 homes for cash across the country and we still have plenty of room to grow. The Associate Franchise Program will allow others to join in our success with lower overhead and flexible hours while being coached and mentored by a local HomeVestors Development Agent."

Associate franchisees will pay a $12,000 franchise fee instead of the $49,500 fee. They can operate out of their homes, while full-time franchisees must open an office and meet larger marketing requirements. They will also attend one week of new-owner franchise training at UG University in Dallas, Texas.

"This is the perfect program for prospects who want to join HomeVestors and still keep their day jobs," Killough said. "It also capitalizes on the demand that we know exists for our services in one of the best economies to invest in real estate."

HomeVestors received more than 250,000 leads last year from homeowners seeking help out of ugly real estate situations. And 2008 continues to be one of the busiest years for the franchise network as the nation navigates the housing crisis.

Development Agents as Mentors

"Associate franchisees can help meet this need immediately and reap the rewards," Killough said. "Plus, they may have the added benefit of working with Development Agents at the local level - full-time HomeVestors franchisees who know and represent our brand and have proven their success," Killough said.

HomeVestors franchisees with a solid track record can apply for and be awarded Development Agent status to support the Associate Franchise program. Development Agents will act as mentors in addition to being franchisees and will sell and support associate franchise opportunities.

These new programs will help increase the market penetration of the HomeVestors brand and strengthen HomeVestors' ability to revitalize the communities in which they operate.
