September 04, 2008 // Franchising.com // Cleveland, Ohio –– Inc. magazine has ranked three Proforma Owners in the top 5,000 fastest growing private businesses as part of their annual Inc. 5000 list. With a combined growth of nearly 250%, Proforma Solutions, Proforma Sunshine State and Proforma Albrecht & Co. make their debut on Inc. that has become a widely respected predictor of success in the private sector.
"The Proforma Family is extremely proud to have not one, not two, but three Proforma Owners receive this high honor," say Greg Muzzillo, Co-CEO and Founder of Proforma. "The impressive growth and success of our members is a testament to Proforma's innovative business model, which allows each Proforma Owner to provide their clients with responsive local service while connecting them with a network of infinite resources to help them grow their business."
The Inc. 5000, an extension of Inc. magazine's prestigious Inc. 500 ranking, which for more than 25 years has been the essential guide to the most successful entrepreneurial companies in America, is in its second year. Proforma appeared on the original Inc. 500 list an unprecedented three years in a row in the early 80's. "Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in business journalism," said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."
The Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must have been founded and shown to generate revenue by the first week of 2004, able to show four full calendar years of sales and they had to be U.S.- based, privately held, and independent -- not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2007. The minimum revenue required for 2004 is $200,000; the minimum for 2007 is $2 million. Revenue figures given in the company profiles correspond to calendar year 2007.
