The Tri-Branded Concept Represents the First of Its Kind.
September 18, 2008 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery, Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker have opened the first tri-branded store. The new store, located in Lafayette Square Mall in Indianapolis, Ind., is owned and operated by Sam Dushey and opened its doors for business August 14. The tri-branded concept is supported by NexCen Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXC) ("NexCen"), parent company of MaggieMoo's Ice Cream & Treatery, Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker.
"I'm very excited to bring MaggieMoo's, Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker to the Indianapolis community," said Sam Dushey owner of the new store. "Throughout the year customers will now be able to enjoy a wide range of freshly prepared products under one roof."
The innovative tri-branded concept will combine the freshly baked products of Great American Cookies and Pretzelmaker with MaggieMoo's freshly made award winning super premium ice cream. Signature cookie cakes and ice cream cakes can be personalized for any occasion or personality, and warm pretzels are the ideal portable snack. All three brands have an established presence in the Indianapolis area, and their menu items appeal to customers of all ages providing superior snacks and treats for all.

MaggieMoo's Ice Cream and Treatery is a chain of independently owned and operated franchised stores that specialize in serving super-premium ice cream and desserts. In 1989, MaggieMoo's opened its first store in Kansas City, Kansas. Today there are nearly 200 Treateries in the United States, Thailand and Puerto Rico. Great American Cookies was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1977 on the strength of an old family chocolate chip cookie recipe. For over 30 years, Great American Cookies has maintained the heritage and integrity of its products by producing original cookie dough exclusively from its plant in Atlanta. Made famous by their signature cookie cakes, trademark flavors and menu of gourmet products the brand now leads the mall-based cookie system with nearly 300 locations. Great American Cookies was acquired by NexCen Brands in January 2008, making it the fifth brand in NexCen's quick service restaurant portolio.
Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time are franchised concepts that specialize in offering hand-rolled soft pretzels, innovative soft pretzel products, dipping sauces and beverages. The brands were founded independently of each other in 1991, but were united in 1998 by Mrs. Fields Famous Brands.
