October 01, 2008 // Franchising.com // SAN DIEGO, - Jack in the Box Inc. (NYSE: JBX) today announced that Gary L. Schneider has joined the company as regional vice president for its St. Louis region. Schneider will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of 72 Jack in the Box® restaurants in Illinois and Missouri.
Schneider, who has more than 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, most recently served as president of Metromedia Steakhouses Company, L.P., which operates more than 300 Bonanza and Ponderosa steakhouses. Prior to becoming president in 2005, Schneider held several positions of increasing responsibility with the company, including area manager, regional assistant vice president, division vice president and president of franchising.
Before joining Metromedia in 1989, Schneider was regional director of company operations for the Roy Rogers quick-serve chain, then owned by Marriott International, Inc.
Schneider holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.
