Tasti D-Lite Serves Trendsetters at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week
October 03, 2008 // Franchising.com // This September, Gotham's favorite guilt-free indulgence sponsored the ultimate New York event – Mercedes Benz New York Fashion week. Fashionistas scooped up a sweet snack in the lobby of the Bryant Park tents from Tasti D-Lite girls serving specially named flavors - Va Va Voom Vanilla Marshmallow, and Haute Chocolate. This participation solidified Tasti D-Lite's spot at the top of the light frozen dessert category.
On three separate days, five girls dressed in pink, branded Tasti D-Lite thermals and white leggings served guilt-free Tasti D-Lite to the hungry crowds filled with models, designers, fashion editors, and everyday fashionably fabulous New Yorkers. Tasti D-Lite samples were offered only to guests of the top designer shows, including Diane Von Furstenberg, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Carolina Herrera and Herve Leger.
Leading influencers and fashion elite also stopped by to grab a quick treat. Socialite Tinsley Mortimer and designer Tory Burch could not resist a low-calorie pick-me-up, and neither could celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch or IMG Senior Vice President Fern Mallis.
Additionally, America's Next Top Model judge, Jay Emanuel came by on a scheduled visit to taste test the product. Although they were not serving his favorite flavor (Cookies n' Cream), he was presented with a Tasti TreatCard™ to use at one of the new Flagship Centers any time. This resulted in a Tasti D-Lite feature on the September 19 Tyra Banks Show , where audience members enjoyed complimentary Tasti D-Lite, care of the "Mobile Tasti" truck, parked outside the studio.
