Link Staffing Services Applauds Women in Business

Link Staffing recognizes National Women's Small Business Month

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For women, running a business means wearing plenty of hats. Not only do they have to juggle their time between work and home, it is imperative that they stay focused on their business's needs in order for it to succeed. Studies have marked women among the fastest growing groups of business owners, and with 10 female franchise owners, eight female branch managers and a female co-CEO, Link Staffing knows all about women's influence in entrepreneurship.

In recognition of National Women's Small Business Month this October, Link Staffing discusses the contributions women have made to its franchise network and how women, in general, have influenced the business world. The business also takes this awareness month as an opportune time to applaud women in the local community who have succeeded in entering the small business realm.

"This awareness month is fitting to us, especially since there has been a heavy influence of women in our corporation. I am proud to promote the business interest and issues and serve on the board for the Committee of 200, the professional organization of preeminent businesswomen who exemplify and promote entrepreneurship and corporate leadership among women," said Karen Pitts, co-CEO of Link Staffing Services. "However, there are thousands of other women nationwide who also have made strong impacts in entrepreneurship."

According to the Small Business Association's recent Small Business Research Summary released in April, "… [Women] have been able to develop … their occupational and entrepreneurial skills and therefore become more prepared to enter self employment." Link has encouraged and helped women achieve their goals in the small business sector by providing industrial jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Besides the franchising opportunities Link Staffing Services provides for women, its individual franchises help women find other employment options. According to Pitts, Link employs skilled, semi-skilled, light industrial and general laborers; many go on to full-time employment through their assignments.

Houston-based Link Staffing provides services such as long and short term assignments, temporary to full time, pay rolling, on site management, customized new employee orientations for the work site and a comprehensive screening process.
