Bark Busters Celebrates the Bond Between Children and Dogs with "Kids 'n' Paws" Photo Competition

Participants Can Win a $500 Donation to SPCA International or a Local Animal-Related Charity and a $100 Bark Busters Gift Bag

October 14, 2008 // Franchising.com // Englewood, CO, – Since dogs are such an important part of many kids' lives, Bark Busters, the world's largest dog training company, invites kids and their furry friends to "capture the moment" by participating in the Kid's 'n' Paws photo competition at BarkBusters.com. Participants can submit photos and descriptions of their dogs with their favorite little companions. Judges will select finalists, and the winners will be determined by real-time public votes online and announced on December 8, 2008. Participants can win cash and prizes for themselves, their canine companions, and an animal-related charity of their choice. Visit BarkBusters.com for more details.

"As children kick off the school year, our canine companions begin to miss their favorite summer pals, kids," said Liam Crowe, CEO and master dog behavioral therapist at Bark Busters USA. "What better way to celebrate the bond between kids and dogs than with a photo competition that will benefit not only the participants but also a worthy charity dedicated to helping our four-legged friends?"

Bark Busters, the world leader in natural home dog training, kicked off its Kids 'n' Paws photo competition on October 13 and will accept entries at BarkBusters.com through December 8, 2008. Entries must include a digital image and a brief description. Five finalists will be determined by a panel of judges on December 9, 2008, and posted on BarkBusters.com from December 10 through December 29. During this time, the public can vote on their favorite entry. Winners will be announced and posted online on December 30. The participant whose entry receives the highest number of public votes will receive a $100 Bark Busters gift bag and $500 donation in his or her name to SPCA International or another animal-related charity of his or her choice. Second and third place winners will also receive Bark Busters gift bags.

"We're looking for the most clever and entertaining submissions, and with the real-time vote tally available online for all to see, we anticipate a lively competition," added Crowe. "This is all part of our mission to enhance the human-canine bond and support charities that help to prevent the maltreatment and euthanasia of companion animals."
