CALGARY/ALBERTA/MEDIA RELEASE--(Marketwire - Dec. 1, 2008) - Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery, a Calgary based coffeehouse chain is pleased to announce the arrival of its holiday Gingerbread Families. The gingerbread folks are gift-packed in threes to make Gingerbread Families and they have a special mission this year. When you purchase a Good Earth Gingerbread Family, $1.00 goes to Brown Bagging it for Calgary's Kids.

Brown Bagging it for Calgary's Kids is a local charity whose mandate is to ensure that Children and youth in Calgary, regardless of their life circumstances, are able to reach their full potential. Through the "Feed Kids" program they make and deliver 1300 brown bag lunches to 65 different schools daily. "Supporting our local communities with a particular emphasis on Children is part of our mission and Brown Bagging it is such a good fit", says Nan Eskenazi, Co-founder of Good Earth Cafes. This is Good Earth's second program with them; In early November, the cafes sold brown lunch bags, decorated by Calgary kids, for $2 with funds going to the charity. Visit and read about the wonderful programs offered at Brown Bagging it for Calgary's Kids.
