Bookkeeping Express 'Balances' Virginia Small Business' Need for Certified Services with Grand Opening of New Office in Prince William County

McLean-based Bookkeeping Company Expands to Offer Prince William County Small Businesses Professional Bookkeeping Services

December 09, 2008 // Franchising.com // Prince William County, VA – Bookkeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, announced today the opening of its newest office in Prince William County. The opening brings Bookkeeping Express' Virginia presence to 6 counties across the state. With more than 20 years of experience behind it, the new Bookkeeping Express office will offer Prince William County small businesses industry leading certified bookkeepers from a national network of professionals.

"I am thrilled about providing professional bookkeeping services to Prince William County and the surrounding areas. A void exists locally for skilled bookkeeping services that focus on the small business community," said Greg Jones, CEO of Bookkeeping Express. "As the company's home state, Virginia continues to take on major significance for our business."

In addition to the Prince William County office and the corporate headquarters in McLean, Bookkeeping Express recently opened Virginia franchise locations in Alexandria, Fairfax, Leesburg, Arlington, and Winchester counties.

With more than 195,000 small businesses in Virginia, Bookkeeping Express offers a much-needed service to companies that are not equipped or do not wish to handle accounting responsibilities such as setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting. Plus, Bookkeeping Express utilizes a Custom Flex Pricing Model that is based on the clients' needs instead of a one fits all, hourly billing approach.

The expansion into the Prince William County area is part of the company's aggressive National Franchise Development strategy, which calls for more than 400 new territories, initially targeting growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

"The small business community is growing in Virginia, and Bookkeeping Express is expanding with it," added Jones. "We are looking to grow with franchise partners who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services."

As part of the Bookkeeping Express franchise model, all locations will offer the BKE Connect system, which allows businesses access to all bookkeeping files remotely through an outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually 'sums' up the business' operations for thorough analysis. Two options available to Bookkeeping Express investors include Master or Area Development territories that can be operated out of home-based or commercial space locations; per territory start-up fees run under $50,000.
