Brantford gets second helping of Boston Pizza

Restaurant commits to strong community partnerships

December 16, 2008 // Franchising.com // Brantford, Ont., - Boston Pizza International Inc. proudly announces its grand opening of its second restaurant and sports bar in Brantford, Ontario on December 15, 2008. Boston Pizza's newest location, at 50 Market Street South, will create 80 new jobs and will serve as a strong community partner supporting charities and organizations across Brantford.

The new restaurant is owned by a local franchise group of Gord Lewis, Rob and Jan Phillips, Tony and Alanna Mullally, and Aubrey and Wayne Steadman. Lewis will also serve as the location's general manager, bringing 10 years of restaurant industry experience to the role.

"We look forward to building strong relationships with the people and organizations of Brantford," explained Lewis. "Whether it is serving up hot fresh food to residents, or supporting local sports teams and schools, we plan to be involved."

As part of this pledge, Boston Pizza Brantford staff will present a cheque to the Lansdowne Children's Foundation at the grand opening celebration on Friday, December 12. The donation will be made from tips generated through "dress rehearsals" leading up to the opening.

Boston Pizza Brantford features the latest Boston Pizza design and will seat up to 260 guests. The dining room boasts an elegant fire place, adding a cozy feeling to the casual dining experience, while the sports bar fulfills every sports fan's dream: wall- to- wall sound and multiple flat screen HD televisions to put you right in the game.

With more than 100 menu items, there's something for everyone at Boston Pizza. Guests can choose from 22 varieties of gourmet pizza, plus pasta, appetizers, ribs, entrées, salads and desserts. Boston Pizza's Delicious Alternatives menu also offers six Health CheckTM options including whole wheat pasta.

Boston Pizza has one other location in Brantford, Ontario located at 299 Wayne Gretzky Parkway.
