Chester's partners with Cubby's Truck Plazas

December 17, 2008 // Franchising.com // Greenwood, Neb. -- Chester's, a leader in fried chicken foodservice programs among convenience stores, has announced the grand opening of its newest location. Cubby's Truck Plaza, in Greenwood, Neb., opened its first Chester's on Friday, December 12.

The Greenwood Chester's will offer signature menu options including fried bone-in chicken, chicken tenders, potato wedges and biscuits for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The newest Chester's location will also offer both dine-in and carryout options.

"We are excited about bringing Chester's great tasting chicken to our customers at the Greenwood Cubby's. Chester's will be a great addition to our store," said Dick Cosaert, president of Omaha-based Cubby's.

"Chester's is thrilled to partner with a company such as Cubby's where quality product, exceptional value and outstanding service are shared goals," stated Kathryn Kudulis, brand manager at Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's International. "The power of the Chester's brand will be a tremendous tool as we continue to exceed the daily expectations of our customers."

Cubby's Inc. has been the operator of c-stores and supermarkets in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota since 1979. It operates approximately 20 locations. Amenities at the Greenwood Cubby's include, a truckers lounge, showers, ATM, washer and dryer, internet access and fax and copy machine.

Chester's is an emerging leader of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 1,500 Chester Fried licensed and Chester's franchised locations. Along with its foodservice products, it offers flexible size and store layout options, training and support. Chester's uses only chicken that is specially marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe and offers bone-in, tenders and potato wedges as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast and sides.
