Carstar Challeges Canadians To Hit Them With Their Best Shot For Cystic Fibrosis

HAMILTON, ON, Dec. 12 /CNW/ - CARSTAR Automotive Canada, the country's largest network of high-quality collision repair centres, is holding a unique contest to help tackle a deadly illness and raise money for a good cause. The first ever "CARSTAR Hit Us With Your Best Shot Photo Contest" encourages football fanatics to upload a picture of their best 'game face' to www.carstar.ca to help raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CCFF). The grand prize winner has a chance to win $10,000 as well as the chance to see their photo during one of CARSTAR's pre-show advertising spots on The Big Game airing February 1, 2009 on CTV. CARSTAR is passionate about finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and because of this commitment; they'll donate $5.00 for the first one thousand photos taken. A winner from each province will also have their chance to win $500.

Cystic fibrosis is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians. A devastating disease, CF attacks primarily the lungs and the digestive system and requires a daily regime of intensive physical therapy and medications. CARSTAR Collision Repair Centres, with over 130 locations across the country, have been dedicated supporters of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the past nine years and have raised over $1.6 million to help fund research and treatment in the fight against cystic fibrosis.

CARSTAR's first ever "Hit Us With Your Best Shot Photo Contest" closes Sunday, January 18, 2009. Contestants are asked to upload their best 'game face' to www.carstar.ca for their chance to win.
