Pizza 73 Swings Its Doors Open To Two New Restaurants To Close Off The Year With 65 Locations

EDMONTON, Dec. 16 /CNW/ - Partners in life and business, Surbhi and Raj Parashar have been eagerly anticipating the day when they could open the doors to their very own Pizza 73 restaurant. Today, their wait is over.

"This is an amazing opportunity for us to play an active role in the community that has been so very good to us," says Subhi Parashar. "We think Pizza 73 is the best franchise to operate in Canada and we can't wait to continue offering great service and great pizza to our community."

Located at 4725 65 Street in Camrose, the 1,500 square foot eatery is among the first in Pizza 73 history to offer in-store family seating, pizza by the slice and earlier operating hours. The opening of the Camrose location highlights a growing demand for Pizza 73 in the community and the success of the joint venture model in attracting local entrepreneurs.

"Our team works closely with local entrepreneurs to identify growing markets whose residents have demonstrated a need and appetite for new dining options," notes Darren Wagner, vice-president of operations and development. "Our goal has always been to provide more choice, value and quality to customers with the help of local partners who are looking for a stable and enjoyable career."

Both partners have completed training at the Pizza 73 corporate restaurant as well as at the Leduc Pizza 73 - the first location to launch the new Pizza 73 restaurant format earlier this summer.

"We're confident that Surbhi and Raj will do a fabulous job meeting the needs of our new Camrose customers," adds Wagner.

Surbhi and Raj's perseverance and dedication has been evident over the past six years since their arrival to Canada. Having lived and worked in Toronto as a mechanical engineer for General Motors, Raj longed for the challenge of owning and operating his own business - and to do something constructive for his community. Upon their first visit to Camrose, the couple found the inspiration they were looking for and later bought the Mac's convenience store which they still own and operate just across the street from the new Pizza 73.

"We just love the people and the feel of this city," says Raj Parashar.

The Camrose store is part of a two-store expansion this winter with another location opening today in Grande Prairie at No.103, 6815 Kateri Drive. With the opening of these two locations, Pizza 73 has now opened 9 new stores in the past calendar year for a total of 65 outlets in Western Canada.
