Michael Shinnick is the Number One Business Coach in Ireland

Shinnick will be focusing on the sales and marketing aspects of his clients' businesses in year 2009.

Placed at the number 15 spot globally, Michael Shinnick achieved the number one Business Coach rank in Ireland.

Based out of his office in Dublin, he has been helping the owners of small and medium sized businesses using the proven systems and tools of ActionCOACH.

In effect, as the economy grew so strongly, there was plenty of work to go around and the main problem businesses faced was how to cope with the increased work load," he said.

Shinnick believes this increasingly made businesses turn into "order takers" as they never really had to go out to prospect and sell to gain new business.

Shinnick also believes that in order to deal with the recession, businesses will have to learn how to market and sell themselves.

"I feel that if a business owner takes on this challenge and succeeds then their business will emerge from this recession in a far stronger position and will prosper in a more sustainably growing economy with the sales and marketing functions of their business working strongly," he said.

Shinnick sees opportunity in the current economic climate.

"In my opinion this economic environment presents an excellent opportunity for business owners to review how their business is structured and adapt their current structure to not only survive this recession but to also gain serious market share," he said.
