Charleston Dog Tails Wagged with Delight at the Announcement of Camp Bow Wow®'s Grand Opening Event

Camp Bow Wow® Charleston Celebrates its Grand Opening in South Carolina - Join in on the excitement January 31st from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM and set up a free interview for your dog

Charleston, SC (PRWEB)-- Charleston dog owners who take frequent vacations and work long days now have an alternative to keeping their pup in a kennel all day: Camp Bow Wow®. Camp Bow Wow® strives to provide a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention. South Carolina dog lovers who are familiar with Camp Bow Wow will know they're getting the ultimate in care with this unique service.

Charleston residents were introduced to the alternative in traditional kenneling by Tom Hudson and Beverly Heinly last November. To formally announce their arrival, Camp Bow Wow® will be hosting their Grand Opening Event on Saturday, January 31, 2009. The event will be held from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the campsite located at 1745 Clements Ferry Rd, right off of Highway 526. Please join us for a day of fun complete with food, games and prizes from Camp Bow Wow® and special guests, including:

  • Wild Heir Labrador Rescue with adoptable dogs looking for a special home
  • Low Country Lab Rescue with adoptable dogs looking for a special home
  • Worthy Kreatures pet boutique with great prize packages for your pooch
  • Bark Busters training group offering a Training Pack worth $399.00
  • Pup Cakery Dog Bakery giving away yummy treats
  • The Square Onion serving food and beverages for the humans
  • Lucia's Premium Pets Boutique

And SO much more.

"The doggy campers at Camp Bow Wow® enjoy all-day play," said Tom Hudson, when asked what makes their service special. "That's different from most other dog care facilities," he added. "Traditional kennels give dogs 15 minutes of play time in the morning and 15 minutes in the afternoon. The rest of the day, the dogs are isolated in kennels."

At Camp Bow Wow® the pups romp around the 4,500 square foot facility in the three outdoor play yards and three indoor play areas! The facility also features 32 climate controlled cabins with fleece lined blankets to keep the pups warm on their cozy karanda cots. As an additional safety measure, dogs are separated by size and temperament of play. Camp Bow Wow® strives to provide an environment that is as clean and safe as possible for campers.

All campers must be spayed or neutered, and current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordatella (for Canine Cough). Campers are served their very own food during their stay to avoid upset tummies, and special requests, from medicines, extra treats, or care for older pups are provided with no extra cost. All Certified Camp Counselors® are trained in dog first aid and dog play group dynamics and a counselor is constantly supervising the campers at play to ensure your pup has the safest stay possible.

Absent guardians can tune in to the facility's online Camper Cams®, which are live high-speed web cams placed in all six indoor/outdoor play areas. Dog owners who travel frequently find this feature quite addicting.

Tom and Beverly are very excited to announce that one of the two foster dogs they had at camp has been adopted and the second has relocated to a foster home in Columbia. Both were from the Wild Heir Labrador Rescue. They are also very excited to be partnering with the Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue to foster more dogs in the future. They plan to name their foster dogs through the alphabet, the first being Abe and the second Bullwinkle and they will continue down the alphabet with the future pups, how cute. Come visit so see other adoptable dogs looking for a happy home at the Grand Opening Event.

Camp Bow Wow® day-care services start at $25 for full day. Overnights start at $35. Day Camp packages are available and discounts are given for multiple dogs and extended stays.

Please join us to celebrate Charleston's newest doggie business and enjoy games, prizes and tons of fun. Be sure to bring your kids, cameras and of course your friendly dogs to this Grand Opening Celebration on January 31st from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Camp Bow Wow®. It's sure to be a dog-gone great time.
