Camp Pendleton is Site of First Military Base Location for All-American Restaurant Chain
LAKE FOREST, Calif., Feb. 2 // PRNewswire // -- As part of their unconventional growth strategy, restaurateur Johnny Rockets, has agreed to open and operate a 1,800-square-foot restaurant on Main Side, in Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps' largest West Coast expeditionary training facility, located in Southern California.
According to Johnny Rockets' CEO, Lee Sanders, "More than 38,000 military family members live in Camp Pendleton and more than 60,000 people occupy the base every day. Our classic American atmosphere, grilled-to-order hamburgers and the timeless music on our jukeboxes add up to the feel-good kind of fun we think marines and their families both desire and deserve."

Johnny Rockets' Camp Pendleton restaurant will be owned and operated by long-time franchisee, Robert Azinian. Azinian currently owns Johnny Rockets restaurants in California, Washington, Connecticut and Nevada.
Anticipating a May 2009 opening, Johnny Rockets' believes their flexible venue selection and simple business model will prove to be successful and will signify the first of many Johnny Rockets restaurants to operate on military installations, around the world.
