ERA Real Estate Appoints Charlie Young as Chief Operating Officer

February 12, 2009 // Franchising.com // PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- ERA Franchise Systems LLC announced the appointment of Charlie Young as the Company's chief operating officer effective today. Most recently, Young held the chief operating role for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, another of Realogy Corporation's brands. In this new role, Young will be responsible for enhancing the ERA value proposition and the implementation of growth and profitability strategies for its member brokers across a 2800-office network worldwide.

"Charlie is a tremendously talented industry leader who is well-regarded by brokers and has experience in working closely with them on growth and profitability strategies," Brenda W. Casserly, president and chief executive officer of ERA. "In addition to his operational experience, he is a capable and motivating leader whose knowledge will be highly valued by our affiliates."

Young has more than 20 years of experience in business management, field operations, marketing and real estate operations. He joined Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC in 2004 and spearheaded several innovative programs that served as industry firsts while establishing himself as a recognized industry speaker.

Previously, Young was vice president for then Cendant Mortgage (now PHH Mortgage), working with brokers to implement private-labeled mortgage programs. He has also held executive positions at Frequency Marketing Inc., Foote, Cone & Belding Direct, Bell Atlantic (Verizon) Directory Services, the New Jersey Nets, and he is a 1987 graduate of Emory University.
