The Familiar Happy Star(TM) Icon and the Star of Texas Join Forces for New Texas Toast Breakfast Sandwich

St. Louis, (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Fast-food breakfast leader, Hardee's(R), is combining a staple from the Lone Star State, Texas toast, with its breakfast expertise to create a new line of Texas Toast Breakfast Sandwiches. Sure to satisfy even the hungriest of cowboys, the new breakfast menu item features two slabs of buttered and grilled Texas toast piled high with egg, American cheese, and a choice of sausage, bacon or ham.

"Everything really is bigger in Texas and Texas toast is no exception, at roughly twice the thickness of regular bread," said Brad Haley, Hardee's executive vice president of marketing. "Since Hardee's has always been known for its hearty breakfasts, it made sense for us to look at making breakfast sandwiches on Texas toast and the result was just as delicious as it was filling."

The Texas Toast Breakfast Sandwich will be sold at participating Hardee's restaurants for $1.99 and is available in a small combo for $3.69 including Country Potatoes and a beverage. Prices may vary by location.
