Weichert Real Estate Affiliates Invites Members to 'Join the Revolution' at its Annual Convention

March 30, 2009 // Franchising.com // Morris Plains, N.J. – Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., the franchise arm of Weichert, Realtors®, will hold its annual National Convention on April 6 – April 8, 2009 at The Peabody hotel in Orlando, Florida. This year's conference, themed "Join the revolution," will feature two keynote speakers including Olympic Gold medalist and television broadcaster Dan Jansen and best-selling author and media personality Willie Jolley. The convention will also include skill building sessions designed to help attendees maintain success in a demanding real estate market.

"We are in the midst of an industry revolution where real estate will never be the same," said Weichert Affiliates President Martin J. Rueter. "Real estate professionals must be radical, be boisterous, be different, and of course, be the very best."

Each year the company hosts members from across its ever-growing roster of approximately 300 offices in 36 states to share sales, marketing, and recruiting techniques and provide network opportunities, keynote speakers, and entertainment throughout the three day event.

Rueter, who has led the expansion of the franchise network since its introduction, will remind agents, brokers and managers that the Weichert organization "has always been revolutionary by rising up against the status quo, discarding tired ways of doing business." He, along with a staff of session leaders, will equip conventioneers for what he calls the "tougher, new revolution taking place in our business, in the country, around the world."

This year's event will feature a number of informative and interactive seminars. The REO network session will review how the marketing strength and proven sales systems of Weichert help move non-performing real estate inventory quickly for clients. A seminar entitled "Getting the Appointment" will focus on skills to create immediate response from prospects. "Thawing Today's Buyer" will provide dialogue to educate buyers on why now is the right time to buy. Other session topics include management dynamics, commercial investment opportunity, agent Web sites and online marketing, referrals, and time management.
