Newest Krispy Kreme Location Brings 25 Additional Jobs to Area

Smyrna, Tenn., /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Fresh, hot doughnut fans have a new reason to celebrate tomorrow morning, April 9: the Krispy Kreme Hot Light will beam bright for the first time in Smyrna, Tennessee, with the opening of the newest Krispy Kreme Doughnut Factory and Kremery, located at 434 Sam Ridley Parkway.

The store will open for business at 6 a.m., but Original Glazed(R) doughnut groupies better arrive early; the first customer to walk through the door will receive a free dozen Original Glazed(R) doughnuts every week for a year; the next 11 customers will receive a free dozen Original Glazed every month for a year; and the first 100 customers will receive an official Krispy Kreme Smyrna T-shirt.

"Middle Tennesseans have been loyal Krispy Kreme customers and enthusiasts for years, so it makes sense to bring our newest Krispy Kreme Doughnut Factory and Kremery to Smyrna," said Cindy Bay, Senior Vice President, Company Store Operations for Krispy Kreme. "We appreciate the support we have received from the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and are very happy our new location is also bringing an additional 25 jobs to the area."

Local elected officials, leaders from the business community and Krispy Kreme representatives will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by the Rutherford Chamber, at 11 a.m.

Customers at the new Smyrna store will enjoy Krispy Kreme's unique offerings, including its one-of-a-kind doughnut varieties; signature coffees and espresso drinks; and Krispy Kreme Chillers(R) and iced beverages. The new Smyrna location will be the first store in the Nashville area to offer Krispy Kreme's brand new Kool Kreme(R) soft serve menu of traditional cones, shakes and specialty doughnut sundaes, all paired with a toppings bar.
