PETCO and FETCH! Pet Care Partner to Enhance In-Home Pet Care Options

Partnership Offers Reliable Pet Sitting Services in Time for Travel Season

April 30, 2009 // // San Diego, CA, – As summer travel season gets underway, FETCH! Pet Care and PETCO announced today a partnership aimed at helping pet parents find reliable solutions for in-home pet care.

In a move that will benefit pet parents who need trustworthy and convenient service options when they can't be at home with their pets, PETCO, a leading pet specialty retailer with more than 950 locations across the country, will exclusively offer FETCH! Pet Care's professional pet sitting, dog walking and pet taxi services to its customers beginning this month in select markets.

FETCH! Pet Care, the nation's largest at-home pet sitting and dog walking franchise, serves more than 1,800 locations across 38 states, to provide professionally trained pet sitters for parents of any kind of pet, from dogs and cats, to birds, fish, iguanas and more. FETCH! offers a range of convenient services, including boarding and daycare in the sitter's home, overnight sitting or daily visits in the client's home, private and group dog walks, pet taxiing, and miscellaneous home and pet care.

"The health and safety of pets is our top priority and we know that work, travel and other life activities can be tough for pet parents who have to figure out how to take care of their pets while they're away," said Taylor Phillips, vice president of pet services, new growth for PETCO. "We are pleased to partner with FETCH! to offer these high-quality, professional services to our customers and give pet parents the ability to relax knowing their pets are safe, snug and happy at home – even while they are away. "

Beginning today, PETCO customers and pet parents in California and Seattle can access FETCH! Pet Care's professional in-home pet care services. Pet owners in those markets can visit or call 1-888-PET-FETCH to request a free in-home consultation to learn more about FETCH!'s services and address their pets' unique pet care needs. The partnership is scheduled to expand to additional markets later this summer, bringing the added services to pet owners in and around the communities where PETCO operates.

"Partnering with PETCO gives us the ability to provide pet parents throughout the country with the high-quality, convenient in-home pet care they deserve," said Paul Mann, CEO of FETCH! Pet Care. "We hope more people will be able to adopt pets and experience the joys of pet ownership knowing that reliable and affordable in-home pet care and services are readily available to them."

All of Fetch! Pet Care's sitters are professionally trained, criminal history background checked, bonded and insured, and maintain detailed policies and procedures in order to ensure pets and their parents receive consistently high quality service. A satisfaction guarantee backs up the company's promise of excellence. Reliable, caring pet sitters are currently being hired across the country to fill the demand for these services.
