Las Vegas, NV, --(PR.com)-- Dave Betts has joined ActionCOACH, the world's leader in business and executive coaching, founded by Brad Sugars in 1993.
Master Licensees Ian Christelow and Julie Wagstaff recently named Betts as an ActionCOACH in England. He will initially be working out of his home-office in Colchester, Essex – around the Colchester, Ipswich and Chelmsford areas.
Betts was in the final stages of setting up his own business management consulting company when, as part of due diligence for that, he came across ActionCOACH
"Having found ActionCOACH, I investigated further to see how they operated and hence evaluate the competition. The main idea was to see why I could do better than them with my own company," he said. "My final conclusion was that ActionCOACH did a very good job and with the company I would be able to get a business up and running faster than I could alone – despite the high franchise costs."
Prior to joining ActionCOACH, Betts had 20 years experience in sales and marketing at various levels – applying a consultative approach due to the products he sold.
"Eventually I came to realize I had a greater skill-set at consulting than I was using in a selling application," he said.
Betts began to experience a certain constraint working with management and systems that lacked direction. This strengthened his decision to leave the corporate world and join ActionCOACH.
"This disillusionment with the corporate world coupled with a collapsing UK market for the product sector I had worked in compelled me to make a move," he said. "Besides, ActionCOACH has an impressive, well thought-out, structured system that has proven to work across all businesses – irrespective of industries and cultures."
Betts has held the positions of Development Engineer and Project Manager in his past careers. However, for the last 19 years, he has worked both managing and as part of a team in high value capital equipment sales and associated marketing.
Betts' major achievements involve identifying new market potential for products and successfully marketing as well as selling them. In his selling career, he has had significant success breaking into new multinational blue chip accounts, which then developed to their other global sites. These include household names such as Sony and Panasonic.
"With regard to managing a sales team, I started with a product range, which was selling on average – four machines per year and developed it – building a sales team, which would be selling 36 machines a year and the second biggest product in the UK market sector," he said.
His experience in using a consultative approach, good sales and presentation skills, a structured approach to work and many years experience working independently from a home-office will help Betts in his latest endeavor.
