Christopher O'Donnell, president and CEO, to participate in 2009 NASDAQ OMX Food & Restaurant Industry Forum

Minneapolis,(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Famous Dave's of America, Inc. (NASDAQ: DAVE) today announced that in celebration of opening a new Famous Dave's franchise restaurant in Times Square, Christopher O'Donnell, president and CEO, Diana Purcel, chief financial officer, Dave Anderson, founder, Jacob and Sammy Benmoha, franchise partners in Times Square and Wilbur, the Company's mascot, will ring the "Opening Bell" at NASDAQ Marketsite(R) in New York on June 10, 2009. Christopher O'Donnell will ring the Opening Bell at 9:15 a.m. ET.

"Sammy Benmoha, owner and operator of the Times Square Famous Dave's, opened the restaurant last month and we've been pleased with the response we've received from patrons in the area," said Christopher O'Donnell. "Ringing the NASDAQ Opening Bell is a great way for us to mark this franchise opening. While at the NASDAQ Marketsite, Christopher O'Donnell will participate in a panel discussion, "Business in the Current Economic Environment," focusing on how restaurants and food companies are adjusting their business approaches to cope with a challenging economic environment to continue driving sales. The panel discussion is part of the 2009 NASDAQ OMX Food & Restaurant Industry Forum.
