Zagat's 2009 Fast Food Survey Reports Wendy's(R) Is Waaaay Better

Wendy's Named the #1 Mega-Chain for Food, Facilities, Top Overall

June 09, 2009 // Franchising.com // Dublin , OHIO – The results of Zagat's 2009 Fast Food Survey were released today and Wendy's was ranked the #1 Mega Chain (establishments with more than 5,000 locations) in three categories. The popular restaurant chain was awarded the top spot for Food, Facilities and Top Overall.

Wendy's ranked second for Most Popular and Healthy Options, and placed in the top five for Best Grilled Chicken, Best Fish, Best Fries, Best Milk Shake, Best Value and Best Value Menu.

"We are thrilled that Americans put Wendy's at the top of the Zagat Survey" said David Karam, Wendy's President. "The results are a true testament to Wendy's everyday commitment to freshness, quality and great customer service."

Wendy's continually adds fresh menu items to complement customer favorites. The chain's newest treats on its Frosty™ line are the Frosty™-cino and Coffee Toffee Twisted Frosty.

Unveiled this morning on the " TODAY Show ", the 2009 Zagat Survey results were comprised of 6,107 survey participants who collectively rated 45 Fast Food Chains, 30 Full-Service Chains and 28 Quick Refreshment chains. Since its 1979 launch, Zagat Survey has become the world's most trusted source to help consumers make informed decisions about restaurants, nightspots, hotels, attractions and other leisure activities.
