Sport Chek Celebrates Grand Opening of Calgary Downtown 3-Level Store

Calgary, Alberta--(Marketwire) - Sport Chek, a corporate banner of The Forzani Group Ltd. (TSX:FGL), Canada's largest retailer of sporting goods is pleased to announce the grand opening of its Calgary Downtown store. The new store is located on Stephen Avenue Walk. Grand Opening events commence Thursday, June 25, 2009.

Catering to the downtown market, with a new sleek and modern design, this new multi-floor Sport Chek store showcases an expanded collection of high end products, new brand programs and shops, and sophisticated technical accessories; including:

Sunglasses from Oakley, Fox, Rayban, Revo, Arnette, Under Armour and Smith.
Specialized brand shops from Puma, The North Face, Oakley and Under Armour.

As the new downtown destination for on the court sports like Tennis and Squash, Sport Chek houses Wilson's revolutionary new stringing machine, the "Baiardo". The Baiardo is the first stringing machine designed using Wilson's exclusive B.E.S.T. system (Biomechanically Efficient Stringing Technology). The ergonomic features keep the stringer in mind throughout the entire process. Baiardo automatically adjusts height and tilt 3 times during the stringing process (mounting, mains, crosses) putting the string bed in a biomechanically perfect position for each individual user based on their height.
