Bookkeeping Express Recognized as Outstanding New Business of the Year by McLean Chamber of Commerce

The Nation's Leading Bookkeeping Franchise is honored for Outstanding Leadership

June 26, 2009 // Franchising.com // Mclean, VA – In recognition of its rapid expansion with highly qualified franchisees and its outstanding leadership, the McLean Chamber of Commerce has honored Bookkeeping Express with the New Business of the Year award. The award will be presented on June 24, 2009 at a ceremony from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ruth's Chris Steak house, located at 8521 Leesburg Pike in Vienna.

"We are thrilled to be awarded with the 2009 New Business of the Year award," said Merritt J. Green, co-owner of Bookkeeping Express who will also be awarded with the 2009 Outstanding Member of the Year award from the McLean Chamber of Commerce. "Our expansion right out of the gate demonstrates the need small business owners everywhere have for certified bookkeeping services. I am proud to be part of a company leading the way in this regard and to be doing it from the place we call home, McLean."

Each year, the McLean Chamber of Commerce honors outstanding business and community leaders who make a difference in the McLean community. Bookkeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, was launched as a national franchise system in June 2008 and chose McLean for its national headquarters.

"We were very excited when Bookkeeping Express chose McLean as their headquarters," said Sheri Sylvester, the Second Vice Chairman of the McLean Chamber of Commerce, "their services are unique and truly benefit the communities they serve, with strong leadership to back it up."

Franchise and corporate locations currently exist in a number of states across the U.S., including: Nevada, Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Maryland, New York, and newest location in Colorado.
