KidzArt Announces Expansion into Indonesia

Children's Art Enrichment Franchise Organization Expands Business to Further Serve Asian Marketplace

July 01, 2009 // Franchising.com // (New Braunfels, TX) – KidzArt, an international children's art enrichment franchise company, today announced the opening of its new master franchisee in Jakarta, Indonesia. In its efforts to continue building its international market, KidzArt's added expansion in Asia is based on an increase in demand for children's creative educational services.

Husband and wife team, Vincentius Suyanto and Indahwati Ng have purchased exclusive rights to operate and market branded KidzArt locations.

KidzArt has a unique curriculum that provides drawing instruction for students, from preschoolers to teens. The program offers a constructive, creative outlet that encourages self-expression and communication. No prior arts training or experience is necessary to participate. Classes are small, up to 15 enrollees, to maximize the amount of attention paid to each student.

According to KidzArt president, Shell Herman, "It's wonderful to continue KidzArt's expansion into the Asia's growing market which is ripe for children's art enrichment. We're thrilled to be the first art education franchise business in Indonesia and look forward to developing their children's creativity, expression and confidence, as well as a long and prosperous relationship with Vincent and Indah, our new Master Franchisees. We are confident in their backgrounds and ability to grow the KidzArt concept throughout Indonesia."

With a strong passion for helping children, Suyanto and Ng's goal is to enhance children's right-brain thinking, creativity, confidence and ability to take risks.

"Our education system in Indonesia is still very academic and focused on logical thinking," says Suyanto. "When we found KidzArt, we knew that the concept is very unique and interesting. It provides the opportunity for children to be introduced to a world of art where there are no mistakes. Therefore, children can try out many different things without having the worry of being judged. We believe it's something really special."

KidzArt Indonesia has a studio in Jakarta that plans to register over 400 students in its first two years of operation. Suyanto also plans to offer KidzArt classes in local schools as an afterschool activity.

"I think KidzArt will provide a great avenue for children to truly explore their creativity," says Ng. "KidzArt allows children to be different. I believe KidzArt will give a good foundation for our children to be more independent and responsible for their creativity."

KidzArt Indonesia will begin offering art classes in July and has plans for a grand opening in August.
