Global Restaurant Chain Teams with MGM to Promote New Movie

LAKE FOREST, Calif., July 23 // PRNewswire // -- The Johnny Rockets Group, Inc. today announced the launch of an integrated promotion designed to increase brand awareness, drive restaurant traffic and share in the brand equity of MGM Pictures and Lakeshore Entertainment's highly-anticipated film FAME.

According to Johnny Rockets Executive Director of Marketing, Tim Gorman, "Johnny Rockets is a timeless concept, built on a foundation of classic, all-American food, music and entertainment. We strive to remain relevant in the minds of our guests and believe that associations with successfully reimagined properties like FAME help us position our brand as one that is as 'cool' today as it was when we opened our first restaurant in 1986."

The international restaurant chain's multi-layered U.S. promotion includes a sweepstakes mechanism, an in-restaurant awareness campaign for the movie release and a cohesive effort to encourage participation in the "FAME National Talent Search."

Beginning July 25, Johnny Rockets joins as a promotional partner in the FAME National Talent Search, a multi-city competition intended to find the nation's most talented performers, ranging from singers, dancers and actors, and to promote the film's release in theaters, September 25. Participants can enter contests scheduled at Six Flags theme parks in St. Louis, MO; Dallas, TX; Jackson, NJ; Atlanta, GA; and Chicago, IL. They, along with prop-based entertainers, can also submit videos through the FAME page on MySpace, at Talented entrants will compete for the chance to win a trip to the finals at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles on Labor Day weekend, where the ultimate prize includes cash, meetings with Hollywood talent executives and a "forever" performance feature on the FAME DVD.

Johnny Rockets' FAME campaign is promoted through online Web site representation, database e-mails, in-restaurant POP, check inserts, publicity, print advertising and social media efforts. The Company will also introduce a "Get The FAME-ous Treatment" sweepstakes to add value for customers with exciting FAME-related prize packages and to encourage participation in the Rocket E-club.
