July 30, 2009 // Franchising.com // Pearland, Texas – Pearland will soon be home to a new Primrose School. In addition to offering area families high-quality educational child care, the Pearland private preschool will benefit the community by bringing 25 to 30 new jobs to town, and $2.9 to $4.1 million in project costs.
The company announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with area residents Sotirios and Estela Papadopulos to open a Primrose School in Pearland. The new school, which is expected to break ground in the next year, will be the third Primrose School in the Pearland area.
Primrose Schools is the nation's leader in providing consistently-delivered, accredited early childhood education and child care services in more than 200 schools nationwide.
The new Primrose School will serve families with children ages six weeks to five years old, and its after school program will provide engaging activities for children up to age 12. Highly-trained teachers will bring to life the proven and accredited Balanced Learning® programming for all of their students. Balanced Learning considers multiple aspects of growth and learning – social, emotional, physical and cognitive. Primrose determines what experiences children need at different stages of their development and blends together teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development.
Franchise owners Sotirios and Estela Papadopulos said they originally chose to open a Primrose School based on the brand's stellar reputation, because they experienced Primrose Schools first hand since their daughter attended the Primrose School of First Colony in Sugarland.
"When we decided to open our own business, we wanted to choose a franchise that we could take pride in – one that makes a difference in people's lives and gives back to the Pearland community," said Sotirios Papadopulos. "We know that Primrose Schools has a proven business model and we share the brand's mission of providing the best and most trusted educational child care across America, starting right here in our own community."
"We carefully select our franchise owners to ensure they meet our stringent criteria, which includes passion, business savvy and a strong commitment to their community," said Darin Harris, COO of Primrose Schools. "The Papadopulos' showed us throughout our selection process that they not only share a passion for nurturing children, but also for making a difference in the community and in the lives of the families they will service in their school."
The new school will provide peace of mind for parents who want balance in their career without sacrificing what they want most for their child's development, education and care. Primrose Schools nationwide provide a warm, loving environment where children can flourish and be safe, happy and learning.
