HSFM Reopens Cary, North Carolina, Location

LOUIS, MO – It didn't take long for President and CEO of Hair Saloon For Men, Tom Twellman, to recognize Cary, NC, as a great area of the country to continue representing his unique chain of men's haircutting establishments; which explains the excitement in his voice when he talks about reopening the doors of their Fresh Market location, 3675 SW Cary Pkwy, August 6.

"We're very excited about reopening our doors in Cary," Twellman said in a recent interview. "We've made a lot of friends over the last year and a half and we're confident that the men of Cary will continue to appreciate our level of customer service and recognize it as a welcome relief from the 'unisex' salons that prevail today."

Hair Saloon originally opened two locations in Cary but after a recent franchise change it was decided to concentrate solely on the Fresh Market location. Hair Saloon Vice President, Deborah Clark and partner, Mike Carner, are the new Cary franchise owners and bring with them a wealth of experience and past success. Clark currently owns and operates two St. Louis area Hair Saloon locations.

Hair Saloon For Men is a concept that originated in 1997 and has proven successful with thirteen corporate and franchise locations in the St. Louis metropolitan area. And now, again, in Cary.

After tiring of the growing prevalence of 'unisex' hair salons, Twellman recognized the need for a more traditional men's haircutting establishment—call it a reinvention of the neighborhood barbershop but with more amenities.

The masculine theme is reflected in the rich wood décor and furniture, walls adorned with vintage B&W sports photos, TVs tuned to news and sports, oversized checker tables and a putting green for customers to brush up on their short game.

Twellman is both philosophical and resolute in his conviction when he observes that Hair Saloon is "filling a void in American life that has as much to do with the 'restoration' of men as it does with the 'business' of haircutting." He adds, with a hint of a smile, "We call it, an 'Honorable Rebellion Among Men.'"

The Fresh Market location will officially reopen its doors August 6, 2009.
