Wingstop Named to Aurora Sentinel's 2009 "Hot Stuff" List

Wingstop voted "Best Hot Wings" and "Best French Fries"

August 07, 2009 // Franchising.com // AURORA, Colo. - Wingstop is "Hot Stuff" according toAurora Sentinel readers who recently voted Wingstop "Best Hot Wings" and "Best French Fries" in the annual Hot Stuff guide which ranks the top places to eat, drink and shop in the city.

Wingstop, the national chicken wing chain that sells one million wings daily, has received the "Best Hot Wings" designation five years in a row. This year the chain's hand-cut seasoned fries were also voted "Best French Fries" by Aurora Sentinel readers. To show customer appreciation, the four Aurora Wingstop locations are offering customers free fries with a purchase of 20 wings August 3 through August 10.

"It's an honor that our customers have voted Wingstop 'Best Hot Wings' for five years running," said Joe Sugrue, owner of the four Aurora-area Wingstop restaurants. "We have a focused menu of great chicken wings and side dishes. We keep it simple and put a lot of emphasis on quality. We appreciate our customers and thank them for their vote."

At a time when many chains are struggling, Wingstop has experienced positive comp stores sales for 24 consecutive quarters, and the company recently moved from #125 to #97 on Entrepreneur Magazine's "Franchise 500" ranking of all leading franchise brands worldwide.
